Volunteer with KCLT

We are seeking an experienced accountant to take up the role of Treasurer for the Knaresborough Community Land Trust (CLT), established in 2018, to create community-owned affordable housing to benefit those living and/or working in Knaresborough. This is an exciting time for the CLT as we progress our membership drive and move towards the development of affordable homes, within the coming months.

The Treasurer is a member of the Board, which currently meets about eight times a year. Board members are all volunteers and, as a member-led Community Benefit Society, we are regulated by the FCA. This is an excellent opportunity to join the organisation and contribute to its strategic direction, as we near the start of our first building project. The Treasurer will take the lead on setting up the financial controls for the CLT and ensuring effective and timely reporting. The role will be rewarding and offer a challenge for someone wishing to be part of a ground-breaking initiative.

We are also looking to appoint a further, general Board member to join our current friendly team.  Experience in business and/or property matters would be particularly welcome.
